Mr. Marchione, submit your resignation
Letter

Councilmember Marchione,

This email is in response to the recent workplace complaint (and investigation) filed against you by City Manager Fischer.

I am sure you have been informed by Mr. Sims (the investigating attorney) that my formal complaint against you is under investigation and per your request, it is being handled independently from the complaint filed by City Manager Fisher. Since this is an active investigation, I will not mention this matter any further.

After reading the initial workplace complaint by City Manager Fisher and during the investigation, I asked Mr. Sims to request your resignation on my behalf. Mr. Sims later informed me that he did submit my request to you and that you refused.

Mr. Marchione, I ask you once more -- please submit your resignation.

You and I were elected onto the Council of this fine city at the same time and we were both sworn into office on the same night. During the campaign, on several occasions, you stated that you "would do the right thing even when no one was watching." Please, I ask you to do the right thing now and resign.

Sincerely,
Julia R. Gusse
Councilwoman, City of Maricopa
