The following information is from reports from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and the Maricopa Police Department. Information available is limited.
12/18/08 Maricopa
- A traffic hazard was reported in the area of Hwy. 347 & Honeycutt. A bale of hay was in the roadway.
- Criminal damage was reported on W. Griffis Dr. after someone threw rocks through a house window and a vehicle window.
- A 4-year-old was found wandering alone on Alterra Pkwy. The child stated that the mom was asleep “so she went for a walk.”
- A fight in progress was reported on W. Honeycutt Ave.
- Two vicious pit bulls were reported running loose in the area of Taft & Hathaway. Animal Control was contacted.
- A garbage can was reported stolen from W. Dirk St.
- Maricopa HS reported the theft of a set of keys from the front office.
Stanfield
- A stolen vehicle was recovered on Farm Road 15.
- An SUV was found headfirst in a ditch in the area of N. Stanfield Rd. & Carranaza. The vehicle was still running.
12/19/08 Hidden Valley
- A single vehicle rollover occurred at N. Amarillo Valley & W. Barnes Rds. The driver abandoned the vehicle.
- An unknown type of fire was reported in the area of W. Mayer & N. Ralston Rds.
Maricopa
- A garage fire was reported on W. Vineyard St. The garage was evacuated safely. MFD responded.
- An employer on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported that she had video evidence of an employee stealing.
- Domestic violence was reported on N. Santa Cruz Dr.
- A hit-and-run accident was reported at a business on N. John Wayne Pkwy.
- A home burglary was reported on N. Alterra Pkwy.
- A business on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported they were holding a male juvenile shoplifter for police.
- Fry’s reported they were holding a shoplifter for police.
- Criminal damage was reported in the area of Hwy. 238 & Rio Bravo when a truck knocked down a fence. The vehicle was still at the scene since it was stuck in the mud.
- Criminal damage to a home on W. Wild Horse Tr. was reported when someone was throwing rocks at the home.
- A medical call was received from an elderly woman who said she had fallen and could not get to the door to let emergency responders in. She gave permission for forced entry. MFD responded.
- A complaint of loud music after 9:30 P.M. was received from W. Rhinestone Rd.
- A medical call was received from W. Sage Brush Dr. The female caller said someone drugged her. Her speech was very slurred. EMS staged.
Stanfield
- A semi truck driver called requesting assistance. While attempting to make a U-turn he got his truck stuck in the mud in the area of S. Russell Rd. & W. Selma Hwy.
12/20/08 Hidden Valley
- An unknown type of criminal damage was reported in the area of Organ pipe & Warren Rds.
- A complaint of loud music after midnight was received from W. Meadowview Rd.
- Juveniles were reported in the yard of a vacant house at N. Conejo & W. Meadowview Rds.
- A complaint of loud music after 7:30 P.M. was received from the area of W. Pony & N. Oak Rds.
- A complaint of loud music after 10:30 P.M. was received from N. Cherry Ln. The caller stated that when the police come, the music is turned down, but after they leave, the music is turned back up.
Maricopa
- A juvenile problem was reported on W. Oakland Ct. when a parent found his minor daughter and other minors drinking in the girl’s room. He requested an officer respond.
- A complaint of a dog barking after 1:00 A.M. was received from N. Harris Dr. The caller said the dog had been barking for several hours.
- A complaint of loud juveniles yelling and running up and down the street making a lot of noise after 2:30 A.M. was received from W. Colby Dr.
- Ak-Chin requested an agency assist. They had a person with difficulty breathing and asked MPD to respond.
- A medical emergency was reported on W. Corvalis Ln. when a man stopped breathing. MFD responded.
- Burglary to a home was reported on W. Maricopa Ave. Access was gained through a bathroom window.
- Assistance was requested on W. Catalan St. when children were locked in a vehicle. The vehicle was not running.
- Neighbors reported that a home for sale on N. Lariat Rd. was broken into.
- A medical emergency was reported when a 19-month-old was having a possible seizure.
- A juvenile problem was reported on N. Balboa Dr. at the golf course. Juveniles were on the golf course harassing golfers.
- A business on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported a theft of beer.
- A vehicle struck a dog on Hwy. 347 near Edison. Traffic was blocked.
- An approximately 5-6 year old child was bound crying on W. Smith-Enke.
- Criminal damage was reported on W. Sunland Dr. after someone shot a Santa decoration.
- A hit-and-run accident was reported on N. John Wayne Pkwy.
- A loud party after 10:30 P.M. was reported on W. Elizabeth Ave.
- A complaint of loud music after 11:00 P.M. was received from W. Kramer Ln. The caller reported that when she went to ask him to turn down the music, he came to the door with a gun in his hands.
- DPS requested an agency assist in catching a drunk driver on Hwy. 347.
12/21/08 Maricopa
- A complaint of loud music after 3:30 A.M. was received from W. Garvey Ave.
- A possible suicide attempt was reported on W. Wild Horse Tr.
- An animal problem was reported when dogs were running in the roadway in the area of N. John Wayne Pkwy. & Edison.
- Domestic violence was reported on N. Ricardo Way.
- Criminal damage was reported on N. Ingram Ct. after someone vandalized the side of a house and the backyard.
- Theft of Christmas decorations was reported on W. Rhinestone Rd.
- An assault on an 18-year-old was reported in Acacia Crossing. The victim had head trauma with dizziness and altered level of consciousness. MFD responded.
Stanfield
- A two-truck accident was reported on W. Hwy. 84. One of the vehicles left the scene.
12/22/08 Maricopa
- FedEx packages were reported stolen on W. Chisholm Dr.
- A medical emergency was reported when a 2-year-old on W. Maricopa Ave. was having a possible seizure. EMS responded.
- A vehicle fire was reported at Honeycutt & White and Parker. Occupants got out of the car.
- Shots were reported in the area of W. Papago & N. Brewer Rds. The caller said it was possibly target practice.
12/23/08 Maricopa
- A call was received from out of state regarding a residence on N. Keystone Dr. A neighbor notified the caller that his vacant house appeared to have someone living in it.
- A call requesting assistance was received from the CVS pharmacy parking lot when a woman had locked her baby in the car.
- An accident involving two trucks was reported in the area of Laverne & Jeanne.
- A possible suicide attempt was reported on W. Sunland Dr. when what looked like a suicide note was found on the kitchen table.
- A call was received for an unknown medical emergency on N. John Wayne Pkwy. when someone was found on the ground outside a store. MFD responded.
- Trespass was reported by a property manager for W. Kristal Ln. Several people were living in a house without water or electricity for several months.
- A traffic hazard was reported on W. Roth Rd. when a vehicle was blocking the roadway. The driver refused to move it and was laughing at people who could not get by.
- A business on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported a theft of a 30-pack of beer.
- A vehicle was reported stolen from N. John Wayne Pkwy.
- A vehicle accident with injuries occurred at the intersection of N. Lavern Ln. & W. Jean Dr.

- A business on W. Hwy. 84 reported a theft of 2 30-packs of beer.
12/24/08 Hidden Valley
- A complaint of loud music after 7:30 P.M. was received from W. Javelina Rd.
- A complaint of loud music after 10:00 P.M. was received from the area of N. Deer Tr. & W. Pampas Grass Rd.
- A complaint of loud music after 11:30 P.M. was received from the area of W. Miller Rd. & N. Poplar St.
Maricopa
- An attempted break-in was reported on W. Tulip Ln.
- A complaint of a barking dog after 7:30 A.M. was received from N. Lauren Rd. The caller claims this is an ongoing problem.
- Christmas decorations were vandalized on W. Bravo Ct.
- An animal problem was reported on W. Bunker Dr. when a woman was unable to leave her garage because of 2 aggressive dogs.
- An animal problem was reported in the area of Bunker & Goles when a 15-year-old was bit by a dog. Animal Control responded.
- A fight in progress was reported at Circle K.
- A neighbor reported domestic violence with a woman screaming on W. Amsterdam Rd.
- A domestic situation on N. Roosevelt Ave. was reported. The call was received from Chandler PD.
12/25/08 Hidden Valley
- A report of theft was received from N. Klamath Pl. The caller stated his neighbor was coming into yard and stealing fuel.
Maricopa
- Shots were reported in the area of N. Olson Ct.
- A fight was reported on N. Scott Dr. A second call was received one minute later.
- An attempted break-in overnight was reported on W. Sedona Tr.
- A complaint of loud music after 4:00 P.M. was received from W. Colby Dr.
12/26/08 Hidden Valley
- A complaint of a neighbor stealing water from a well was received from W. Jennifer Rd.
Maricopa
- A complaint of a barking dog after 6:30 A.M. was received from W. Knauss Dr. The called said the dog has been barking for 3 days.
- A complaint of barking dogs after 7:30 A.M. was received from N. Lauren Rd.
- A complaint of loud music after 10:30 A.M. was received from W. Elm Dr.
- Criminal damage was reported on N. Lakeside Dr. after someone shot a hole in a glass door.
- A medical call was received from N. Alicia Ct. when a 6-month-old was having a hard time breathing.
- A medical call was received after an 8-year-old slipped and hit his head on the floor. There was profuse bleeding. EMS responded.
- Burglary to a vacant home on W. McClelland Dr. was reported.
- A report of vicious dogs was received from the area of Edwards & Hogenes when 2 dogs were snarling and growling at a man walking his dog.
- A traffic hazard was reported on N. John Wayne Pkwy. when a dog was running into traffic. The dog was reportedly struck by vehicles.
- A lawn decoration was reported stolen from W. Cahill Dr.
- A complaint of a barking dog after 9:30 P.M. was received from the area of W. Scenic Dr.
- The south Circle K reported a theft of beer.
12/27/08 Hidden Valley
- A complaint of loud music after 6:30 P.M. was received from W. Prickly Pear Rd. About two hours later, the reporting party called back saying that the music had been turned back up.
Maricopa
- Shawna Leigh Bustamante, age 35, of Maricopa was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- An unknown type of emergency was reported on W. Capistrano Dr. when a girl was heard screaming near the pool.
- A complaint of a loud party after midnight was received from W. Anne Ln.
- A complaint of a barking dog after 10:00 A.M. was received from W. Bedford Dr. The caller stated this is an ongoing problem. A second call was received later in the day.
- A traffic hazard was reported at W. Honeycutt Ave. when traffic lights were flashing all 3 colors. Public Works was called.
- A Christmas decoration was reported stolen from W. Delia Blvd.
- A 2-year-old female was reported missing from N. Krupps Ct. The front door was unlocked but wasn’t found open.
- A complaint of a barking dog after 5:00 P.M. was received from N. Kennedy Dr.
- A welfare check was requested on W. Dirk St. A little girl came to a residence and said she could not wake up her grandmother.
- A complaint of barking dogs after 6:30 P.M. was received from N. Lakeside Dr. The caller said the dogs are “constantly barking.”
- A mother in the area of N. Alicia Ct. reported finding sexually graphic pictures of schoolmates on her 9-year-old’s cell phone.
- A complaint of loud music after 10:30 P.M. was received from W. Hillman Dr.
- A report of property damage was received from N. Rio Bravo Rd. & Ellison. The caller reported a truck hit his wall again. The vehicle fled toward the reservation.
Stanfield
- Phil Panepenco, age 46, of Stanfield was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and interfering with a judicial procedure.
- A call was received from Table Top Tavern that a patron tried to start a fight with the bartender.
12/28/08 Hidden Valley
- A report was received of shots fired in the area of Wildwood & Warren.
Maricopa
- A complaint of a loud party after 12:30 A.M. was received from W. Paraiso Ln.
- A report of a deceased elderly person was received from W. Alamendras St.
- A medical call was received from W. Chambers Dr. after a 7-year-old fell off his bike and hit his head. He had an ear bleeding. MFD responded.
- A business on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported the theft of several bottles of liquor.
- A juvenile problem was reported on W. Dirk St. when an unruly son punched a hole in the garage door and was throwing things.
- A home burglary was reported on W. Alamendras St.
- An animal problem was reported when there were javelinas in the roadway in the area of Summer Ln. & Cobblestone.
- A complaint of a barking dog after 11:30 P.M. was received from N. Calacera St. The caller stated that a small dog had been barking for several hours.
12/29/08 Maricopa
- Sandra Buckert, age 49, of Maricopa was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and assault with intent.
- A vehicle fire was reported next to Walgreen’s.
- A medical call was received from N. Miller Way when a 17-year-old might have overdosed on acetaminophen.
- A single vehicle accident was reported in the area of Bedford & Rancho El Dorado when a truck hit a gravel pit. The driver was bleeding from the face. An infant was also in the vehicle.
- An industrial accident was reported in the area of W. Cowtown Rd. It was a possible grain explosion.
- An accident involving a pedestrian was reported on N. John Wayne Pkwy. The victim was bleeding from his nose and was unresponsive.
- A truck windshield was vandalized on W. Alamendras St.
- A complaint of loud music after 11:00 A.M. was received from W. Walker Way. The caller said this is an ongoing problem with a neighbor playing drums too loud.
- Criminal damage was reported on W. Sky Ln. after someone attempted to break in through a back door.
- A business on N. John Wayne Pkwy. reported they were holding a shoplifter for police.
- An assault was reported on N. Upland St. A tenant moving out assaulted the landlord.
- A bicycle was reported stolen from N. John Wayne Pkwy. The caller had a description of the suspect.
- An animal problem was reported on W. Smith-Enke Rd. when “2 very large javelinas” were walking around the parking lot.
- A prowler peeping through windows was reported on W. Cowpath Dr.
12/30/08 Hidden Valley
- A vacant home on W. Jennifer Rd. was reported on fire.
Maricopa
- A utility problem was reported at Terragona Blvd. & Honeycutt when a trencher hit a gas line. Hissing could be heard. MFD responded.
- Vandalism was reported at the entrance of Rancho El Dorado when a group of juveniles were vandalizing the park area and throwing rock everywhere.
- Criminal damage to a house on W. Miramar Rd. was reported. The house was hit with paint balls while the owner was on vacation.
- A traffic hazard was reported at Smith-Enke & Hwy. 347 after a dog was hit by a car. The dog was severely injured and in the middle of the roadway.
- A report of a vicious animal was received from W. Barcelona Ln. The caller was threatened by 4 loose neighbor dogs when she was walking her dog.
- An accident occurred in front of Panda Express. One of the vehicles flipped over the median. EMS responded.
- A complaint of a dog barking after 7:30 P.M. was received from W. Colby. The caller said the dog had “been barking for hours.”
- A complaint of a dog barking after 10:30 P.M. was received from W. Novak Ln.
12/31/08 Hidden Valley
- A complaint of a loud party after 9:30 P.M. was received from the area of N. Branding Iron & W. Barnes Rds.
- A complaint of loud music after 11:00 P.M. was received from the area of W. Huisatch & Ralston Rds.
- A complaint of racing quads after 11:00 P.M. was received from W. Sioux Rd.
- A report of gun shots was received from the area of N. Cherry Ln.
- Illegal fireworks use was reported on W. Dune Shadow Rd.
Maricopa
- A complaint of loud music after 10:30 P.M. was received from N. Conejo Rd.
- A complaint of loud music after 10:00 P.M. was received from the area of W. Ventana & Ralston Rds.
Stanfield
- Theft of appliances was reported on W. Lane Dr.
- A report of selling liquor to an underage person was reported on W. Hwy. 84.
1/01/09 Hidden Valley
- Shots were reported in the area of N. Green Rd.
- A vehicle was reported in the middle of the roadway in the area of N. White & Parker & Clayton Rds.
Maricopa
- A vehicle was reported stolen from N. Smith Rd.
- An aggravated assault was reported on W. Mockingbird Ln. The victim was stabbed in the finger.
Stanfield
- Edward Antonio Baldonado, age 29, of Stanfield was arrested on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and a child support warrant.
- Bertha Lynn Encinas, age 36, of Stanfield was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Trespass was reported when a man without any money was yelling at a clerk to turn on the gas pump.
- A car jacking was reported at the substation.
