Fraternal Order of Police, community members raise money to help young cancer patient
Maricopa, AZ – A 16-year-old cancer patient and her family will get some much-needed financial support after Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) members in Maricopa, along with folks in the community, raised $570 at a weekend car wash.
Harley Kiholm suffers from a rare form of cancer, called Myxopapillay Ependymoma Intradural Lumsa. The money raised will help pay for her treatment. “This is an excellent way to let the community know how much we appreciate them and help a young girl who still has so much life to live,” said Justin Thornton, the City of Maricopa FOP President. Family, friends, and the City of Maricopa FOP would like to thank everybody who donated at the car wash including Maricopa Fire Engine 575.
An account has been set up for Harley at Desert Schools Federal Credit Union. The account number is 0042344200.
