MHS to host ABODA Area Jazz Festival -- March 2 and 3

Maricopa High School (MHS) is proud to announce that the new Performing Arts Center will be host to the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA) Area Jazz Festival on March 2nd and 3rd, 2012!
The Area Jazz Festival is a preliminary event for the State Jazz Festival held in May. The school will be welcoming jazz bands from all over the state of Arizona to the campus over these two days. Each group participating will perform on stage and also participate in a clinic in the band room with one of the judges. It is hoped this will be the first of many events to showcase the beautiful facility and bring talented young musicians to the campus. MHS is looking forward to exposing their students to these great jazz programs and possibly even starting their own jazz program in the near future!
