CELESTIAL RUN LOCATION SHOOTS ARE COMING TO LIFE!
New Eden Productions, a Maricopa based company, is nearing
completion of shooting Celestial Run, the first film in the actionpacked
Celestial Triology.
At almost 70% completion, the majority of the production has been
filmed in Maricopa, with many Maricopa residents having served as
actors and extras. Maybe you’ve kept your eye open around town
and noticed recent shoots, one of which took place at Penascos
restaurant. New Eden Productions thanks Penasco’s staff for being
efficient, accommodating and friendly, making it a comfortable
evening for all involved. Other shoots were conducted both indoors
and outdoors at Raceway Bar and Grill. New Eden staff said that
Raceway’s owners worked with crew on short notice and were
hospitable and welcoming, making it a successful shoot of two critical
scenes for the movie.
The production’s most recent shoot took place in Phoenix at the
Japanese Friendship Garden, which was chosen for its picturesque
views to portray the Garden of Eden scene. The crew rented a 26
foot trailer where hair/makeup and cast were able to relax and stay
out of the sun between takes. "Overall, the cast and crew have been
having a blast on the entire project. Everyone works well together
and they are so excited for when we'll be able to present our film to
the community," said Ruben Garcia, director of the film.
Plans are now underway for the soon approaching filming at Rawhide
Western Town and Steakhouse. “Because there are so many
aspects to the movie, from fight scenes involving martial arts and
acrobatic stunts, to western line dancing, we have chosen actors who
are very well-rounded,” said Jesse Eyman, Maricopa resident, screen
play author, co-owner of New Eden Productions and actor of the lead
role “Stephen”.
